The Walking Dead is in season 6, but it appears that rumors are rumbling that Carol will not be killed off at any time.
Robert Kirkman has put together an absolutely huge show that has gained millions upon millions of diehard fans. He has been able to create a zombie show that is unlike any of the others. Part of the way that he has done that is killing off main characters in surprising and gruesome fashion.
Despite that fact, Carol appears to be untouchable moving forward in the show. Kirkman doesn't feel that he can kill her off with the way that she has been growing stronger due to the adversity that she has faced. It may come as surprise that Kirkman feels Carol is untouchable rather than Rick, Darryl or one of the other characters.
During a recent interview, Kirkman talked about not believing that he can kill Carol off at any time in the future of the show.
"The Carol that's in the comic was my attempt to show just how broken an individual can become from the zombie apocalypse. The Carol in the show, which is a much better character let's be honest, actually is made stronger by all the more horrible things that happen to her in the show. Killing her would definitely not ... we can't do that."
She certainly has been one of the more intriguing characters in the show to this point. Not only has she been one of the more intriguing characters, she has also been one of the most important people in the group as well. Carol has taken on a mother like figure for some, while being a best friend and leader to others.
Even though there was a time where she was banished from the group, she has earned her way back into their trust and appears to be one of the key pieces moving forward.
This may come as a bit of a surprise, but things could very well change. Kirkman has killed off quite a few characters that many didn't see being killed off and there are plenty more to come. Now that season six has gotten off to a quick start, it will be interesting to see which major character is next to be devoured.
