Although it has been more than two years since Paul Walker's tragic death in a car accident, his daughter, Meadow, is just now taking Porsche to court for their part in the crash. According to the latest gossip news updates, the still grief stricken 16-year-old believes that her father would be alive today had the automotive company had the proper safety equipment installed on the car. Walker's Fast and Furious 7 cast mate, Vin Diesel, recently admitted that he too had some problems moving past the sudden death of his Hollywood bestie but was able to use his role in The Last Witch Hunter as a means of coping with the loss.
While Roger Rodas' 2005 Porsche Carrera GT is considered a dream car by many, Paul Walker's daughter, Meadow, and her attorney are claiming that the supercar is an absolute deathtrap.
Although the fire that ultimately killed Walker seems to have been the result of issues involving the fuel-line fittings, Meadow's legal team claims that it was the seatbelt the prevented Paul from being able to escape the vehicle in time -- reportedly breaking his pelvis, collarbone and nine ribs -- ultimetaly causing his death.
The court documents obtained for the October 19, issue of In Touch allege that Walker would have ample time to get out for the car had it not been for the severe injuries he supposedly sustained as a result of the faulty safety belt:
"He remained alive until the vehicle erupted into flames one minute and 20 seconds later...[breathing] soot into his trachea while the Porsche Carrera GT burned."
Meadow's grandfather, Paul Walker III, told the magazine that it has been hard for the teenager to fully process her father's death in the two years that she has been preparing the case:
"It's been really hard...Everybody's till very much in shock. It's taking a long time to [heal], a real long time.
"She's still doing really good in school."
For his part, Vin diesel recently told the Associated Press that he too had some difficulties moving past the loss of Paul Walker, but thankfully he had his role in The Last Witch Hunter to help him work through it( via In Touch):
"Death was a huge theme last year. There was something therapeutic about playing this role after going through (Walker's death). The idea that someone immortal could be so melancholy.
"2014 was a tough year for me in some ways - a lot of ways. Playing a character that was masking his sorrow -- his loss -- was very appropriate for the time, because that's what I was doing in real life with the post-Furious 7."
What do you think about Meadow Walker's lawsuit against Porsche?
Isn't it understood that driving a lightning-fast sports car above the speed limit could ultimately be hazardous to your health?
Or, is the teenager correct in insisting that even the most exotic of vehicles should have all the same safety features that we have come to expect on every other car on the road?
Let hear what you have to say about it in the comment field below.
