The San Francisco 49ers head to New York to play the Giants after string of three straight losses. The 49ers will need to step up since they want to turn this losing streak around. Aaron Lynch may be just the man to help them. With seven tackles for a loss this season, he is tied for third-most of these in the entire NFL. Injuries and other things are plaguing the 49ers this season as well. Vernon Davis has been ruled out for tonight's game due to a knee injury, and it appears Ahmad Brooks will not be available either due to his sister's death earlier last week. Even with a few good players, it does not seem probable that the 49ers will win this game.
The New York Giants play tonight and are no doubt confident of a win. ESPN's Football Power Index predict a Giants win at 3-1 odds. The Giants have one of the best running defenses in football this season, only allowing about 1.51 yards before contact per rush this season. Tight end Daniel Fells is still in the hospital due to a staph infection in his foot. The doctors are doing what they can to save the foot, but even after five surgeries, it is not known whether it can be saved or not. The Giants seem to be running short on TE's, as Jerome Cunningham will not be playing and only two TE's are scheduled for the game.
