Game Prediction: Heading into Week 5 NFL action, the Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints are in big need of a win. They are both sitting at 1-3 on the season, although the Saints have to have an abundance of confidence following their huge overtime victory against the Dallas Cowboys last week.
Drew Brees is back on the field, which gives the Saints a major advantage at the quarterback position. Sam Bradford simply hasn't been the major presence that head coach and general manager Chip Kelly expected him to be. He made the move to acquire Bradford from the Rams and sent away talented quarterback Nick Foles in the deal.
Philadelphia fans immediately had issues with the massive overhaul that he made and it is getting worse as the slow start continues.
DeMarco Murray was signed in free agency by the Eagles after LeSean McCoy was traded to the Buffalo Bills. Murray has been one of the biggest offseason busts in the NFL so far and there are major concerns about whether or not he can get things back on track.
New Orleans doesn't have the star-studded offense that they have had over the past couple of years. Brees has been forced to work with young receivers in Willie Snead and Brandin Cooks, while veteran Marques Colston is the type of balancing act that the Saints' offense needs. C.J. Spiller and Mark Ingram are a deadly dual-back threat, with Spiller beginning to come on strong.
This game should come down to the wire and these two teams are fairly well matched to each other.
Expect to see this game come down to the wire and for the Saints and Eagles to put on an entertaining game. Brees should be able to lead his team to another win against a very weak Philadelphia defense. If the Saints and Eagles both play up to their full potential, the Saints should be able to edge out a win.
