After their engagement was called off following the police arresting Emma Roberts for reported breaking Evan Peters nose a while back, it looked like the American Horror Story: Hotel costars' romance was over forever. According to the latest gossip news updates, however, Robert's movie star aunt, Julia, wasn't prepared to let that happen. Word has it that the Pretty Women actress took time away from her own supposedly failing marriage to Danny Moder to get in touch with her niece's former fiancé, and convince him to give her another chance. Meanwhile, Ellen Page is said to be looking to remake one of the Hollywood icons early films from the early 90s. The LGBTQ activist is reportedly looking to take over Julia's old role in the Niels Arden Oplev's new Flatliners.
Although most folks might point out that Julia Roberts seems to have enough going on in her own personal life to keep herself busy, it's been rumored that the mother of three recently did her best to put her niece's relationship with Evan Peters back on the right track.
One source in the latest October 19, issue of Star magazine explains that with things getting tense in her own marriage, it felt good for Julia to at least be able to save someone's relationship, if not her own:
"With her own marriage unraveling, Julia wanted to help set things straight between these two.
"She told Evan that Emma had really been a mess since the split and that she really regretted how she treated him."
According to the tabloid's informant, Emma can hardly express how happy she is that her aunt was able to somehow get Evan to give her another shot:
"Emma can't thank Julia enough for making Evan see that she deserved another chance.
"He's the love of her life, and she's not going to mess this up."
While Emma reportedly has Julia to thank for getting her personal life headed in the right direction again, Ellen Page is hoping that remaking one of Roberts' earlier movies might do the same for her Hollywood career.
The industry insiders at The Hollywood Reporter revealed last week that the Juno star is looking to play Roberts' old character from the 90's in her latest studio project:
"Ellen Page is in talks to star in the remake of '90s sci-fi thriller Flatliners.
"The director of the original Swedish Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, Niels Arden Oplev, is on board to helm from a screenplay by Source Code scribe Ben Ripley, with David Blackman and Laurence Mark as producers."
What do you think about Julia Roberts supposedly getting involved in her niece's personal life?
Is it nice to see the Hollywood icon not ignoring one of her family members to death for a change?
Or, does Julia Roberts' reaching out to help one of her relatives seem just too farfetched to believe?
