Due to massive flooding in the Columbia, SC area (and the state as a whole), the Gamecocks will be heading to Baton Rouge for their NCAA game against the Tigers. The Gamecocks will need to tighten up their running defense significantly if they want to keep this game from being a blowout. After giving up quite a few rushing yards to Missouri last week, against the Tigers, that kind of defense will not hold against one of the top ranked teams in the country. With some of the lowest ranks in the nation for almost all offensive and defensive stats, it does not appear that anything (short of a miracle) will bring a win for the Gamecocks against the LSU Tigers.

The LSU Tigers just need to keep up the job they've been doing and, especially for this game, focus on pounding ground to punch through the Gamecocks porous defensive line. Currently ranked 4th for rushing yards averaging 334 per game, this will be the shovel they bury the Gamecocks season with. The Tigers have a strong 4-0 record (and 2nd place in SEC West) and as a bonus getting to play at home despite the fact this was supposed to be an away game, unless something major changes, the LSU tigers are going to come away with another win.
