It turns out that the reported $400K that Tom Cruise pays Katie Holmes in child support for their daughter Suri every year is just not enough to keep the Dawson Creek actress satisfied. According to the latest gossip news updates, the Ray Donovan star is taking her Mission Impossible ex-husband to court for more money for Suri's ever-growing cost of living. The impending legal battle has done nothing to hurt Holmes' budding love life, however, as the actress was supposedly seen meeting longtime secret boyfriend Jamie Foxx earlier this month.
While most folks would thank their lucky stars if they were given $400,000 a year just to raise a nine-year-old, Katie Holmes is said to be planning to push for more money to help with daughter Suri's expenses.
One source in the latest October 5, issue of Life & Style claims that ifs Katie kept the same financial agreement in place, she legitimately wouldn't be able to meet all of Suri's financial needs (via Radar Online):
"While Katie's taking every acting job that comes her way, she doesn't have the ability to keep her and Suri living the lifestyle that Tom's fortune allowed.
"Suri is getting older and needs more money to travel back and forth across the country with Katie, as well as for her dance, skating and music lessons, new clothes, arts and crafts, and tutors."
According to the informant, Katie is hoping to use the threat of a court battle to pressure Tom into settling as painlessly as possibly:
"It would be bad for tom. She could easily humiliate him in court.
"He's in for a fight going against Katie. She's grown a lot tougher since splitting with Tim...Katie and her lawyers are ready for battle."
Thankfully, Katie's financially problems haven't kept her from having a little romance in her life.
The eyewitness to one secret rendezvous told Us Weekly that despite reports that she was seeing other people, Katie was still seeing Jamie Foxx whenever she could (via Daily Mail):
"She put on a wig and hat to meet him.
"Katie is so in love. She isn't dating other men."
