While the moment that the tabloids seem to all be echoing the rumor that Tom Cruise is on the verge of getting engaged is a bit of an odd time to bring it up, the Mission Impossible star's ex-wife, Nicole Kidman recently opened up like never before about their divorce. According to the latest gossip news updates, the iconic actress wishes that she and the famous Scientologist had more children when they were married, in addition to the two they adopted. In a related story, Tom's rumored new girlfriend, Emily Thomas, isn't the only one reported to soon be walking down the aisle. Katie Holmes was also recently seen with a ring on her wedding finger -- thought to be from supposed boyfriend, Jamie Foxx.
Although the timing seems a little bit suspect, after divorcing nearly a decade-and-a-half ago, Nicole Kidman is opening up about her marriage to Tom Cruise like never before.
In a recent interview with Vogue, the Australian beauty explained that if she had it to do all over again, she would have pushed to have more children with Cruise when she had the chance (via TooFab):
"I wish I could have met him much earlier and had way more children with him. But I didn't. I mean, if I could have had two more children with him, that would have been just glorious.
"But as Keith says, 'The wanting mind, Nicole. Shut it down.'"
Instead of talking about what might have been, however, all the tabloids claim that the Mission Impossible actor is moving on with his love-life and may be engaged to his personal assistant/girlfriend, Emily Thomas, before the year is out.
From the looks of things, Tom isn't the only one that seems to be ready to tie the knot again, as Katie Holmes was recently seen to be sporting a new ring on her wedding finger while out-and-about in New York, earlier this month.
One source in the latest August 3, issue of Star magazine explains that Katie didn't want anyone to think that she wasn't doing as well as her ex; so she added the bling to get a little attention of her own:
"Katie heard rumors that Tom had gotten engaged, so she purposefully wore the ring on that finger knowing she'd be photographed.
"She doesn't want anyone to think she'd be bothered by Tom remarrying, and she figured the best way to make that statement was to lead people to believe she's in love -- be it with Jamie Foxx or whomever!"
Let's hope that they all learn to live happily-ever-after with whatever children they managed to have during their time together.
