Bradley Cooper is coming to CBS. That is right, the American Sniper and Guardians of the Galaxy star is reprising his role from the 2011 film, Limitless in an all new TV series premiering tonight. The new show picks up from where the original movie left off, with Cooper’s character Eddie Morra now a U.S. Senator. Shameless’ Jake McDorman takes the lead from their, as Brian Finch. Amazing Spider-Man director Marc Webb directed tonight’s premiere episode. Check the report below for a look at the new series.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s premiere episode of Limitless, reads:
“A man named Brian Finch develops superhuman abilities after taking a mysterious drug called NZT in the series premiere of this adaptation of the 2011 film starring Bradley Cooper, who serves as executive producer and reprises his role as Eddie Mora. First up: Brian attempts to clear his name of an NZT-related murder being investigated by the FBI.”
CBS offers an official synopsis of the series on their website, stating:
“Picking up post the events of the film, a man discovers the power of a mysterious drug which allows him to access 100% of his brain, and he is coerced into using his newfound drug-enhanced abilities for good.”
Bradley Cooper is serving executive producer, as well as reprising his role from the original film. The new series is written by Medium vet Craig Sweeny.
