Piggy & Kermit Divorce, Pot Jokes, Nathan Fillion & Elizabeth Banks on New ‘Muppets Show’

“It's time to play the music. It's time to light the lights. It's time to meet the Muppets on the Muppet Show tonight.” That is right the Muppets are back in prime time. All of your favorite Muppets are back in an all new Muppets Show, including: Kermit the Frog, Gonzo, Piggy, Nathan Fillion, Fozzie, Elizabeth Banks, the whole gang. The new, adult themed series features Kermit and Miss Piggy going through a divorce/breakup (depending on what continuity they use). The show also features more adult aimed jokes, like references to pot. Check out the report below for a look at the new show.

The official plot synopsis for the premiere episode of The Muppets “Pig Girls Don't Cry,” reads:

“Jim Henson's lovable puppets return to the small screen in this mockumentary-style series that follows their personal and professional lives. In the premiere, Miss Piggy is livid when Kermit books Elizabeth Banks on her late-night talk show; and Fozzie meets his girlfriend's parents. Also: a performance by Imagine Dragons.”

Look for guest stars to appear on the seires. Tonight’s musical guest include Imagine Dragons, but anyone could stop buy. Castle’s Nathan Fillion might even make an appearance, if he’s too distracting.
