It would seem that Whoopi Goldberg has heard the rumors that Rosie O'Donnell will be joining The View cast for a couple of guest appearances next season and begs to differ. According to the latest gossip news updates, the standup comedian made it clear that as long as she is a part of the TV show, O'Donnell is to be all but banned from participating in any way whatsoever. It's not all bad news for Rosie lately, however, as the former talk show host is said to be dating Tatum O'Neal, while finalizing her divorce to ex-wife Michelle Rounds.
Ever since it was announced that producers at The View had overhauled that cast lineup going into the new season, folks have been claiming that Rosie O'Donnell is a shoo-in to make at least one or two geust appearances alongside newcomers Candace Cameron Bure and Paula Faris.
When asked about those rumors by Extra earlier in the week, however, Whoopi Goldberg made it clear that O'Donnell would not be welcome back on The View until she had left the show for good (via PerezHilton):
"I don't think Rosie O'Donnell is coming back to The View at all, ever again.
"Now I'm only here for a year, so I could be wrong, she could be back in two years. She won't be back this year."
At least all Rosie's time off allows her a chance to focus on her personal life.
The source that spoke to Radar Online claims that O'Donnell is already dating John MacEnroe's ex-wife, Tatum O'Neal, despite her divorce to Michelle Rounds not being finalized.
The Radar's eyewitness to one night out last month insists that the chemistry between Rosie and Tatum could not be denied:
"They asked for a table way in the back and they were clearly on a date. Tatum was dressed to the nines in a slinky black dress and they drank red wine.
"During the meal, the two whispered gently to each other a lot, held hands and seemed very much in love.
"Rosie clearly wanted to cover up the secret date, and was reluctant [to take a picture]. But she finally gave in and Tatum leaned into her for the snap."
