Despite their overhauling the new Season 19 cast, word has it that the producers of ABC's The View are desperate to sign Chelsea Clinton on as one of their new co-hosts. According to the latest gossip news updates, Hilary and Bill's daughter has been trying to avoid the TV show like the plague, but that hasn't stopped the powers that be from reaching out on several different occasions. Even though Rosie Perez just let the show last year, the veteran actress claims that she will still be coming back to the check in on Whoopi Goldberg and the rest of the girls from time to time.
It would seem that adding Joy Behar, Candace Cameron Bure and Michelle Collins to the new Season 19 cast is just not enough for The View's producers.
One source in the attest September 14, issue of the National Enquirer claims that ABC is desperate to also sign former First Daughter, Chelsea Clinton on as one of their new co-hosts as well:

"In the past two months, she's been approached twice by producers begging her to join the troubled talk show.
"The View is trying to capture some of its old magic. Chelsea's got a name that people recognize...[plus] she has the brains and experience to command the panel.
"Chelsea used the 'busy new mom' excuse to turn the offer down, but in reality she couldn't think of anything worse than joining the show right now...It's become a nightmare behind the scenes."
Regardless of how dysfunctional it might have been on the production side of things during her time on the show, Rosie Perez told People that she fully intends to drop in here and there in the future check in on her old friends on the show:
