‘The View’ Cast News: Rosie O’Donnell Exit Leads to Further Firing; Kris Jenner Joins TV Show [HOST UPDATE]

Apparently, not everyone behind-the-scenes at ABC took the surprise announcement that Rosie O'Donnell was once again walking away from The View on the chin last month. According to the latest gossip news updates, senior producer Jennifer Shepard-Brookman, let Rosie have it in a profanity laced tirade that resulted in her immediate suspension and subsequent termination. Now that the League of the Own actress has left to get a divorce, Keeping Up with the Kardashians' matriarch, Kris Jenner is said to be pushing hard for Rosie's old seat on the panel. Word has it thecurrent co-hosts, Whoopi Goldberg, Nicole Wallace and Rosie Perez, have firmly put their feet down, however -- insisting the Kim Kardashian's trashy mother not be permanently added to the lineup.

Rosie O'Donnell may already be moving on to the next big battle in her life, but the former talk show host's presence is reportedly still being felt at The View as it was just announced that one producer was fired las week for publicly insulting the comedienne back in February.

An eyewitness to the blowout told Page Six that senior producer, Jennifer Shepard-Brookman, wound up completely losing her cool after Rosie O responded to her not-so-subtle jibes one morning (via Fox News):

"During a production meeting, Jennifer began mumbling behind Rosie, who told her, 'If you have something to say, say it to my face!' So Jennifer did -- she laced into Rosie, and there was a shouting match.

"Jennifer was loud, and profoundly and publicly disrespectful to Rosie.

"It was so shocking, Rosie and other members of staff told the HR department about Jennifer's behavior -- she was suspended and then she was fired."

Regardless of whatever may or may not have happened with Rosie and Shepard-Brookman, there is an open spot on The View panel, and word has it that Kris Jenner is doing everything in her power to convince the remaining producers that she would be absolutely perfect for the job (via Hollywood Life):

"Kris is acting as her own agent.

"So she's been calling the producers to try to sell them on what an enormous audience she already has and how she will single-handedly save the show!"

One behind the scenes source revealed in the March 30, issue of OK! Magazine that if the Keeping Up with the Kardashians' mom really wants to get on to show, she is going to have to first convince the rest of the cast, who are steadfastly standing in her way:

"Whoopi Goldberg and the rest of the ladies have made it clear that they find the Kardashian brand tacky and aren't interested in having Kris join them."

Like Kris Jenner would really be capable of working 5 whole days a week.
