It seems that there may very well be quite a few new faces in the cast when Fast and Furious 8 hits theaters April 2017. According to the latest gossip news updates, Helen Mirren, Ruby Rose and even Angelina Jolie might be coming on board to help fill the void left by retiring Paul Walker's character. While Vin Diesel has has yet to publicly confirm Rose or Jolie's joining the family, Michelle Rodriguez recently argued that Brad Pitt's wife would make the perfect new addition, and the Orange Is the New Black newcomer, insists she's already in talks to come aboard.
Whether Hilary gets elected or not, it looks like 2017 is going to be the year of the women, if Vin Diesel has anything to say about it.
While some folks wonder if Helen Mirren is the right fit for the franchise, Vin told Entertainment Tonight that he is more than certain that he will be able to find a place in his movie for someone that's obviously so amazing:
"There are so many options!
"You've got Nathalie Emmanuel's mother. You've got, of course, the matriarch to the Shaw brothers!"
When Michelle Rodriguez talked to ET, she had her own ideas about who she thought would make an exciting new addition to the Fast family:
"Angelina Jolie...that would be sexy. That would be so cool.
"We've definitely got to bring up the ante, man. Whoever it is -- it has to be a powerful presence that hasn't been seen before."
In a recent interview with The Today Show, none other than Orange in the New Black's Ruby Rose confirmed that she too would more than likely be joining the cast -- if she isn't deemed to Bieberish (via Metro):
"My last audition before Orange was for Fast And Furious 7.
"But they didn't want me because one of the main guys said I looked like Justin Bieber!
"It's so funny because now I'm in talks with that movie and I haven't mentioned to them that I know [that's why I wasn't cast]."
What do you think about all the new ladies possibly joining the new Fast and Furious 8 cast?
Is it the more the merrier?
Or, should Diesel maybe slow it down to just one or two new additions at a time as not to upset the team's dynamic?
