Spoiler Alert: ABC’s hit fairy tale drama Once Upon A Time is gearing up for its big Season 5 return and there is going to be one major difference this time around. When we last left Storybrooke, the savior, Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) became the new Dark One. Now, new images of Dark Swan have surfaced showing her and the old Dark One, Rumple (Robert Carlyle) together. This has lead many fans to question if Emma would go back in time. Now, show boss, Eddy Kitsis is opening up about just how you get two Dark One’s together at the same time.

Emma Swan isn’t going to just become The Dark One all by herself. Recently a new photo was leaked showing Rumple (yes RUMPLE, rumple) leading a clocked Emma Swan into the woods.
Once Upon A Time series co-creator and executive producer, Eddy Kitsis recently spoke with TVLine about how the new Dark One is able to train with the old Dark One:
“[Emma] did not travel time, but she did travel realms.And why Rumple’s there will be immediately explained within the first act of the premiere.”
