Longtime fans of Gwen Stefani's marriage might have been mortified by the recent announcement that the No Doubt singer was getting a divorce from her husband of more than a dozen years, Gavin Rossdale, but word has it that the loyal audience of NBC's hit TV show, The Voice, will be in for a treat. According to the latest gossip news updates, the "Hollaback Girl" is on fire this season thanks to all her new anxieties. Gwen is said to be most upset at Gavin's supposedly demanding a sizable chunk of the Season 9 cast coach's net worth in exchange for custody of their kids.
While some folks might use their ongoing divorce as an excuse to fall into a period of self-pity and despair, Gwen Stefani is reportedly using her split form Gavin Rossdale to help her make great television.
One source from the set of NBC's The Voice told Radar Online that Stefani seemed to be working through her split by giving 110 percent whenever she's shooting:
"Gwen is absolutely on fire right now and she is scoring some really huge talent because her energy is just off the charts.
"She is using the show as a way to cope from with her divorce and everything going on around her because she said that she wants to become the 'Gwen that she was' prior to becoming a mother and housewife."
It's not just some show for the cameras, either, claims the informant -- Gwen has been acting as sweet as ever to everyone involved with making the show, maybe even sweeter:
"Gwen is very interactive with everyone on the staff of the show and they all love her.
"She treats the production assistants the same as her bosses and since her split, her whole outlook and demeanor has changed and she is a ball of light to be around."
The insider that Life & Style spoke to, however, insists that at home, Gwen is a little more rattled by the thought of possible losing half her fortune to her soon-to-be ex-husband.
According to the the source in their latest August 31, issue, the more pressure Rossdale puts on Gwen to pay him to go away, the more she seems to resent the very idea of giving him any of her hard earned money:
"Gavin is money hungry and he won't agree to give Gwen primary custody of the kinds unless she agrees to pay up big time.
"Gwen would so anything for her children, but she hates the idea of having to pay Gavin for her kids...She's devastated."
