Charlize Theron & Sean Penn Split Leaves ‘Mad Max’ Star Devastated? [NEWS]

It been months since Charlize Theron and Sean Penn seemingly ended their engagement, but word has it that the Mad Max beauty really isn't handling the split so well. According to the latest gossip news updates, the Monster Oscar winner has been smoking up a storm since the breakup and looked much worse for the ware when once again onset with Penn for The Last Face reshoots. Adding insult to injury, it looks like George Miller and Tom Hardy might have also cut Charlize out of the sequel to Fury Road, The Wasteland, after the actress admitted to having problems getting along with her costars while shooting the first film.

Even though she was supposed to have given up the habit sometime in the past, Charlize Theron is said to be smoking up to two packs of cigarettes a day as she copes with the stress of her breakup from Sean Penn.

One source in the latest August 31, issue of Star magazine claims that Theron has been smoking like a freight train all through the reshoots of her ex-boyfriend's, The Last Face, in which she, of course, plays the leading lady:

"Charlize is always talking about quitting...In fact, it's a rule that no one can smoke around her kids.

"But since she and Sean broke up, she's been smoking like a chimney.

"She's coughing and looks haggard, but no one is giving her a hard time over it yet."

A behind-the-scene insider from the set of The Last Face reshoots told the National Enquirer that many a morning Charlize shows up to hair and makeup looking like she hadn't slept a wink:

"She shows up on set with a puffy face, looking like she's cried through another sleepless night!

"This has been hard on her...but Charlize has been a pro about it all."

Even worse, it looks like Charlize's bad behavior on her last major blockbuster, Mad Max: Fury Road, may have got her cut out of the sequel.

Despite the franchise's writer and director, George Miller, announcing that he already had the screenplay all lined up to start shooting the next film in the Mad Max series, The Wasteland, Theron told USA Today that she hadn't been contacted about joining the project (via YouthHealthMag):

"What is Wasteland?

"This is all news to me. I have not heard anything like that."
