As insane as it might sound, word has it that the real reason Sandra Bullock has remained ostensibly single since her divorce from Jesse James, has to do with her obsession with the dark arts. According to the latest gossip news updates, the Blindside actress doesn't have a serious boyfriend because, her personal psychic has advised her to stay single for the time beinge. Even more interesting and presumably much more true are the reports that Sandra Bullock owes her role in Our Brand Is Crisis to George Clooney's stepping aside and letting her have it. The new movie was originally written with George in mind, but upon hearing the news that his Gravity costar was having trouble finding a good script, Clooney had the lead role rewritten for ever-single Sandy.
It might sound bananas to the less superstitiously minded, but it's said that when it comes to heeding psychic advice, Sandra bullock doesn't mess around.
One source in the latest August 24, issue of Star magazine claims that that ever since she got burned with Jesse James, Bullock hasn't been willing to take any chances without first checking for auspicious omens:
"She takes her psychic very seriously. She warned Sandy about Jesse back in 2002, but she ignored the advice and nor says she'll never make that mistake again!
"Sandra wants her to be available 24/7 for any emergencies that might come up."
According to the informant, Bullock, of course, would like nothing better than to find Mr. Right and settle own, but there is no way she is going to make a move before she's told the time is right:
"The fortune-teller told her to focus on her son and stay off the market, so that's what she's doing."
Luckily, never ever seeing anyone has allowed Sandra to keep working through the years, but that doesn't always mean that there has been work for her out there.
During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Bullock explained how she wound up talking George Clooney into letting her have his role in her latest movie, Our Brand Is Crisis:
"About two and a half years ago I put out feelers saying, 'I'm not reading anything I'm excited about. Are there any male roles out there that [the filmmakers] don't mind switching to female?' "
If only finding the perfect man was just as easy as finding the perfect part.
