Despite the fact that his 16-year relationship to Jennifer Westfeldt is reportedly over, Jon Hamm, is said to be happier than ever. According to the latest gossip news updates, the Mad Men sex-symbol is hoping to soon start dating his Minions costar, Sandra Bullock. Word has it that though his feelings for the Gravity star didn't contribute to his breakup, it certainly must have made things a whole lot easier when his girlfriend told him it was time to talk.
Despite the fact that they never married Jon Hamm's 16-year relationship with director Jennifer Westfeldt was often pointed to as one of the few Hollywood couple's that were going thestand the test of time.
Unfortunately, last week internet and supermarket tabloids alike exploded with the news that things had finally come to a end for the Mad Men heartthrob and his longtime girlfriend.
Someone claiming to be close to the couple told Star magazine, that after a decade-and-a-half together, Jennifer realized that if, at 44-years-old, Jon still didn't want to start a family with her, then it was time to find someone who did (via HollywoodLife):
"The relationship just ran its course...Jennifer realized that she and Jon don't want the same things.
"So they agreed that it was time to take a step back."
Hamm isn't exactly said to be crying in is beer over the breakup, however.
According to one of the sources in the July 20, issue of In Touch, Jon has, at least subconsciously, had his sights set on his Minions costar, Sandra Bullock, from day one.
While the informant insists that nothing has happened just yet, a budding romance is definitely just around the corner:
"Jon's had a crush on Sandra for years and hasn't been able to contain himself.
"He's really pushing to see her outside of the movie promotion world...Sandra's played coy and resisted, but secret dates will happen soon.
"They're in the early stages, but it's quickly becoming Hollywood's hottest romance."
Although it a little hard to tell from all the different kinds of men that Sandra has dated over the 20-some-odd-years she's been in the business, the insider claims that the best thing about Hamm for her, is that he is exactly the kind of strong silent type that she has been looking for lately:
"She has a type: a manly man who can clean up well and war a nice suit...go on a hike or fix something."
Well, if Sandra is also looking for someone who can smoke a herbal cigarette like's nobody's business to boot, then she has definitely found her man.
