Tao Slams EXO, SM Entertainment, Record Company Shuts Down YouTube

Making news again is Tao, EXO and SM Entertainment. Tao recently released a mini-album that expressed in no uncertain terms how he felt about his time in EXO and how he felt about his record company, SM Entertainment. SM wasn't, apparently, in the mood to hear anymore from Tao about how they were picking on him, so they gave him something to, as my mom would say, "whine about." The company, for the second time, had a new video from Tao shutdown on YouTube.

In a fight that could be described as more contentious than the one between North and South Korea, Tao and SM locked horns in the beginning due to an injuries sustained and the fact that SM could seemingly care less about his health, not by any means the first time that accusation has been levelled against the company. The fight was spearheaded by Tao's father, who pulled no punches. The via Korea Times US explained, quoting him as saying, "'I understand that many people, including my son, will be hurt by my decision," he begins. "If I had to choose between between his health and his career as a star in Korea, then I would choose his health." The 21-year-old singer has not been present for EXO's recent activities with "Call Me Baby," the title track of their second album. In the letter, Tao's father explains that he had no choice but to bring his son back to China to treat his injuries, which include pain in his waist, body and leg. He also expressed frustration over the agency's management of his son concerning an alleged promise from SM that they would set up a specialized team for Tao in China.

In a lengthy back and forth, neither have committed to repairing the relationship nor have they just blown the damn thing up. SM's line has always been, "We're in negotiations." Now it appears those negotiations are at an end after Tao went on the offensive with his new song. Via KPopStarz, we have this quote from Tao about his upcoming songs, "T.A.O is back to tell about our 'Yesterday' and to share 'One Heart' with everyone. The things I want to say are all recorded in the lyrics, I hope everyone likes it. Thank you to everyone who has been beside me and devoted to me."

The lyrics in question came from the same article, "I believe in my persistence, I believe in my choice, it has come to the time to leave, I understand what is freedom, as I leave by myself, I understand the reason why, I'm back."

and

"The lost time is a part of an irreversible life. I'm not willing to remember part of that memory. One love, where are you? I tried to find it, but I couldn't find it. Can I trust it? Where is it? Where is it? Let's forget the past."

And thus we come back to where we started. Still, in the same place.
