Ranbir Kapoor got up and something felt different. He wasn't sure what it was but the day was different from all the other days. It was going to be girlfriend Katrina Kaif's birthday soon. But that wasn't it. He turned on his computer, and there it was in glorious HD: "Tao Out of EXO." He had won. Katrina and his engagement had become the longest, most drawn out news item. Finally achieving success at more than just being Ranbir Kapoor, he could finally ask Katrina to marry him.
Kapoor checked the internet. After all, it's always the foremost authority on everything Ranbir Kapoor. Right? Had he spent all the time doing all the things the internet said he was indeed doing, he had very little time to indulge his two passions--that is, being Ranbir Kapoor and making box office flops.
Apropos, Bollywood Life ran a story:
"This sure has to be Katrina Kaif's most special birthday of all time! Sources close to the couple EXCLUSIVELY reveal to us that Ranbir has decided to give Katrina the best gift a girlfriend could ever ask for! The source goes on to tell us that Ranbir has bought an expensive platinum and diamond eternity band from the luxury Parisian brand Van Cleef and Arpels."
It was perfect. Ranbir sprung into action and headed out the door. On the front step, he dodged media who plotted what it would take to get Katrina and Deepika Padukone to finally settle their score by bikini mud wrestling each other.
That, however, was a story for another day.
Not sure what kind of ring he bought Kartrina, Ranbir, once again, consulted the internet. India Today suggested, "a platinum and diamond eternity band. To symbolise (no prizes for guessing) an eternal bond."
Ranbir stopped cold. He realized that none of the sites said whether or not Katrina actually accepted his proposal. Suddenly, Tao seemed like the smartest guy in the world.
