Ben Affleck knows a thing our two about losing your family. Affleck is coping with the divorce from his wife of ten years, Daredevil co-star Jennifer Garner, by adopting a totally adorable golden retriever. Meanwhile, thanks to the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer, rumors are flying that former Robin, Jason Todd, could be the main villain of the upcoming standalone Batman film. Todd was killed off in the comics by the Joker, during the Death in the Family storyline, only to come back to life as the anti-hero The Red Hood.
“You let your family die.” The words scrawled across a newspaper, seen in the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice SDCC trailer seemingly lay the seeds for a Death of the Family/Under the Red Hood story.
The story of the second Robin, Jason Todd, who was murdered by the Joker, only to be brought back to life, suffering severe emotional trauma. The resurrected Todd, angry at Batman for allowing The Joker to live, seeks vengeance on his former mentor, donning the mantle of The Red Hood, an I.D. once used by the Joker himself.
