While it was at first rumored that Nick Canon was happy that his soon-to-be ex-wife, Mariah Carey, had found a new boyfriend, in Australian billionaire, James Packer, that was before the couple were talking about moving in together. According to the latest gossip news updates, the America's Got Talent host is worried that after her Infinity Tour contract is up in Las Vegas, Mariah will try to move the kids down to Australia permanently, despite her husband's objections. It's also rumored that Nick is dragging his heels in divorce court to keep Carey from being able to marry her new beau for as long as possible.
When Mariah Carey falls in love she seems to fall hard, and so it is said to be with her first real boyfriend since splitting up with Nick Cannon, James Packer.
One source in the latest July 27, issue of Life & Style magazine claims that Mariah and James are getting along so well that she soon hopes to move the whole family in with the Australian billionaire:
"Mariah's willing to relocate halfway across the world from love with James...She's totally in love.
"Mariah wants to move Down Under."
Someone claiming to have all the behind-the-scenes details told InTouch that Mariah can move out of the country if she likes, but if Nick Cannon has anything to say about it, she'll be doing it alone.
According to the their informant, Nick Cannon might have been willing to play nice in the past, but the gloves will come off if Mariah tries to take his kids to live somewhere half-way around the world:
"Nick will never let Mariah get away with it.
"He's always been worried about Mariah drinking around the children, and I'm sure he will use that to his advantage.
"There is no chance those kids will be leaving the country."
Another secret insider supposedly told The Globe, that after getting the impression that Mariah is going to get married as soon as things are properly finalized, Nick is trying to slow her roll by stalling as much as possible in court (via CelebDirtyLaundry):
"She is pushing Nick to settle the financial terms and custody of their twins as soon as possible.
"Mariah is head over heels for James and she is ready to elope as soon as the ink is dry on her divorce settlement."
