Word has it that despite their feelings for one another, George Clooney sometimes has some trouble adjusting to married life with new wife Amal Alamuddin. According to the latest gossip news updates, the London lawyer had to recently let her husband know that his hard partying poker nights were going to have to be a thing of the past if she was to be a part of his future. Meanwhile, Amal's husband is said to be willing to do just about anything to get his naturally skinny wife to pack on a few healthy pounds -- supposedly going as far as to hire a her personal chef to ensure that she is able to gain at least a little more weight.
Spending the fast majority of his adulthood as a bachelor, it would be easily understood if perhaps George Clooney has developed a habit or two over the years that his new wife Amal Alamuddin finds less than attractive.
One source in the July 6, issue of the National Enquirer claims that the one of the first such vices to meet the marriage chopping block was Clooney's infamous poker nights:
"Staying up playing cards, smoking and drinking until five or six in the morning isn't Amal's idea of fun.
"When she's traveled to see him. She doesn't appreciate George ditching her for a game that takes him out of action for nearly two days."
Even worse, insists the informant, Clooney always winds up losing his shit to his more experienced poker playing pals Don Cheadle, Matt Damon and Steven Soderbergh:
"George is more there for the social side of the game than to win."
"He's the first to admit that he's bad at poker, but he loves the game.
"He loves his wife more, though!"
In fact, Clooney is said to be so concerned over her wife's well-being that he's reportedly hired her a professional chef to ensure she is getting all the nutrition she needs, in addition to postponing poker night whenever she's in town.
The source that OK! Magazine spoke to claimed that after a rail thin Amal dropped a few more much needed lbs. George decided that it was time to get involved:
"She's gone down another dress size, so now he's decided to take matters into his own hands and hire a new chef...He doesn't want her to fade away.
"Amal was taken aback, but she appreciates the help -- she's always been the type to struggle to keep weight on."
Now if George can just get her to love poker night, things will be absolutely perfect.
