Sexy, Talented Deepika Padukone Wins Two Awards From 'Film Fare' Magazine

It's been a pretty good year for Deepika Padukone. Not only does she have a hit film on the ledger for this year, Piku, she has a man who loves her and, if tabloids can be trusted, wants to marry her in Ranveer Singh. Yes, Deepika has it good. And now, the talented actress won two separate awards from Film Fare magazine.

As if Deepika needed anymore icing on the cake that is her life, Film Fare magazine voted her the best and the sexiest actress in Bollywood, leaving Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, Jacqueline Fernandez far behind and all but claiming the crown of Queen of Bollywood. Not enough? How about Deepika topped the Potential to Rock Hollywood category for actresses and was only second overall in that category to Hrithik Roshan.

Deepika was last seen in the hit film Piku. The Shoojit Sircar-directed film was a surprise box office smash and Deepika won quite a bit of praise as well. She will next star opposite Ranbir Kapoor and then appear with alleged future hubby Ranveer Singh in Bajiro Mastani.

Deepika is no stranger to such adulation. In 2014, she was named most beautiful woman in the world by an FHM poll. The Piku actress is very rational about it all and doesn't let it go to her head.

"I think something like this is really the result of the work that I do. I don't think it has got anything to do with me physically. I also think that the brand endorsements are also the result of the films that you do," the level-headed Deepika noted.

I guess that is what confuses some in India. The conservative backlash against Deepika isn't looking to change world, she just wants her promised place in it.

"I have been very fortunate that the roles I have done in the last 2-3 years have been very different from each other. So I guess this and the endorsements are a result of that and, of course, the success of that and the relatability of the characters," she added.
