Everyone loves a good love story and quite a few have been intrigued by the Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh romance. Some might say Deepika's only in a relationship to steal the press away from ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor and mortal enemy Katrina Kaif. After all, getting attention is the one thing for sure Deepika is better than Katrina at. Neither Deepika nor Ranveer have spoken openly about their relationship, but new rumors suggest a wedding is in the works.
Now, the latest reports are that the duo are ready to take their relationship to the next level. An engagement could be in the near future, at least according to Film iBeat. The report said that the families of both have given the go-ahead to the relationship. Mr. Padukone was particularly overjoyed, remarking, "Maybe now my daughter can stop stalking that goofy looking Ranbir kid."
Ranveer is a frequent guest at Deepika's house, and he played host at Deepika's dad's recent 60th birthday party.
Bollywood Life's article put a timetable on the whole thing, quoting a source who said that they will be getting engaged February of next year. Ranveer said, "I am going to turn 30 in July. I had a different take on marriage, family and relationships. But I have matured. Earlier I was uneasy at the rate in which divorces were happening among professionals...I believed people were happier being single and marriage was redundant. But in past three years some experiences have changed my outlook." A few days ago Ranveer went so far as to say, "I used to resist growing up but it is happening very organically. I am 29 and have a very simple aim today. I want to be an honorable family man. I have been thinking a lot about settling down."
