It's War: Deepika Padukone and Kangana Ranaut Feud Over Slights

A war is at hand. The combatants are Bollywood heavyweights Deepika Padukone and Kangana Ranaut. Remember, Deepika's Piku party? I know you weren't invited. Neither was I, nor was Amitabh Bachchan, director of Piku. Not only was Bachchan offended by the oversight, but so was reigning box office queen Kangana Ranaut. Will this feud ever be resolved?

Kangana tried to bury the hatchet and she extended an invite to Deepika for a special screening of Tanu Weds Manu Returns, but Deepika ignored the invite, which sent Kangana's anger into overdrive.

Kangana indirectly addressed some of the issues that were building between the two, "I did extend an invite to Deepika, but I never got a response. I have always been supportive of my contemporaries and will continue to be. However, it would be nice if I got the same support. It is hurtful when you don't get the kind of support you expect."

A chilling atmosphere has descended over the two. At a recent screening of Dil Dhadakne Do, according to Masala.com, the atmosphere between the duo was so cold, their standoffish behavior has begun to get noticed.

At the party to celebrate the success of Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Kangana made it clear she wasn't happy that Deepika was given a special invite. To get her point across, the passionate Kangana timed her exit with Deepika's entrance.

Piku and Tanu Weds Manu Returns have both been pleasant surprises where box office is concerned. First, both have female stars and, as previously mentioned, both are performing extremely well at the box office. Tanu holds the distinction of being the first Bollywood film in its storied history to have a female as the lead and break the 100 crore.

Deepika's Piku is expected to cross that barrier as well later this year.
