Anna Kendrick Confirms ‘Pitch Perfect 3’; Rebel Wilson Boyfriend Rumors False?

Despite her coming off as a bit coy when first asked about the possibility of joining the future Pitch Perfect 3 cast, Anna Kendrick has now confirmed that the sequel is definitely happening and she's 100 percent going to be in it. According to the latest gossip news updates, the rumors that Rebel Wilson's new boyfriend, Michael Gooch, is only using her for her fame has gotten back to his friends, and they are insisting quite publicly that the upstart comedian doesn't even have the ability to approach a love affair in such a cynical manner.

When Pitch Perfect 2 first hit theaters, Anna Kendrick was a little sheepish about publicly committing to making another sequel until she could determine how it was truly being received by its intended audience.

In an interview with Time, Kendrick explained that she really wasn't the kind of Hollywood actor that usually thought in terms of trilogies and big-budget franchises:

"I'm not one to count my chickens, so I just want to see how this one does and find out if there's an appetite for that before I even think about it.

"I'll drive myself crazy."

It seems that now that the fans' verdict is in and Pitch 2 is a resounding success, the diminutive Into the Woods beauty has proudly announced on Twitter that she will be joining Fat Amy for round three, summer after next:

While Amy's costar Rebel Wilson has also confirmed that she is coming back to work with Elizabeth Banks and the rest of the cast as well, the Hollywood rumor mill seems far more focused on her relationship with Michael Gooch than her career for the time being.

During a recent interview with the Daily Mail, Gooch's best friend/costar, Dian Basco, explained the his filthy rich friend -- his father is multimillionaire banker Michael Gooch senior, founder of GFI Group which is estimated to be worth around $700 million -- has no interest in trying to capitalize on Rebel's new found success and is only dating the 35-year-old Aussie because he kind of fell in love with her at first sight:

"They met, they hit it off, they went to the premiere together and have great chemistry.

"He doesn't need her fame. He met her and he genuinely likes her, there's something about her. They have such a very strong connection, but they grew up 10,000 miles apart!"

Let's hopes that Rebel's new relationship is every bit as successful as her collaboration with Anna Kendrick and Elizabeth Banks.
