As hard as it may be to believe, BET day time talk show host, Wendy Williams, now claims that she has a real problem with Hollywood divas lying about their age. According to the latest gossip news updates, Kevin Hunter's wig wearing wife is especially taking Pitch Perfect 2 star, Rebel Wilson, to task for telling everyone that she was still in her 20s when she was really much closer to 40. The former DJ also called out Jennifer Lopez for not having the decency to give Mariah Carey he undivided attention at the Billboard Music Awards earlier this month.
While it's long been perfectly understandably for Hollywood leading ladies to sometimes lie about their age in order to remain relevant, 50-year-old Wendy Williams has absolutely no patience for Anna Kendrick's co-star, Rebel Wilson, telling stories about her birthday.
In her latest June 8, issue of Life & Style, Wendy calls out Wilson for being hypocritical -- since anyone with the name Rebel is practically required by law to challenge the status quo on any and every issue:
"According to an Australian magazine...the star is actually 36-years-old, even though she's been vocal about being 29.
"You would think that a woman with the name Rebel would actually have the spirit of one.
"I don't think it's very rebellious to fall in line with the rest of celebrities trying to appear younger than they really are...it's time to start acting more badass!"
Williams seemed equally miffed that Jennifer Lopez didn't give aging diva Mariah Carey the respect she deserves during her highly criticized performance at the Billboard Music Awards:
"It was rude of Jennifer Lopez to use her phone during Mariah Carey's Billboard Music Awards performance, but I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt.
"She could have been texting her babysitter!"
Interestingly enough, Wendy claims that the same considerations certainly need not be made for Ciara's singing career.
During a recent segment on her show, Williams explained thought she honestly thought it would be better for everyone involved if Ciara just relied on her sex appeal to make her money like everyone else with half a brain (via Inquisitr):
"Ciara...and you know I love you...you know I love you, Ciara, but nobody cares about your music.
"Doesn't she have a new album or song out that nobody's talking about?? Nobody cares!
"You know what I care about with Ciara? I care about her signing a lucrative modeling contract...I think she should take advantage of all that and leave that music alone."
Sure Wendy Williams acts like she's confident enough to openly talk about her age, but let NeNe Leakes make a few jokes and they'll have to call the S.W.A.T. team in for back up.
