Salman Khan may not have appreciated Jacqueline Fernandez's acting enough to include her in Kick 2, but Fernandez is fine with that. It's a big acting world out there, with plenty of acting opportunities. One such opportunity arose with Karan Malhotra's directorial debut Brothers.
In the movie, Jacqueline's daughter suffers from "kidney failure" and her husband, Akshay Kumar, takes on a fight challenge to win prize money in order to get her better treatment. Fernandez called the role challenging. She noted, "The role was challenging for me, because I am not a mother. And it wasn't really an ordinary situation, or an ordinary family, it was a lot more dramatic...It is a young mother's struggle with her husband and daughter. And I am grateful to Karan, because I was really thrown to deep ends with this role" she further added.
The film is an adaptation of a Hollywood one, called Warrior. It tells the story of two estranged brothers. The actress has said that the role of the mother helped her learn about herself as an actress and what she is capable of.
The actress was recently in the news when Salman Khan -- in an impromptu news conference -- mentioned that his co-star, Fernandez, would not be a part of the Kick 2 cast. Fernandez, for her part, graciously accepted the news and thanked Khan, praising his efforts and all the knowledge he imparted on her.
"Kick has been one of the best experiences I have had in my life. Salman has already done a lot for me. If I am not getting to work with Salman in Kick 2, then some other film."
Fernandez is instead looking forward to her upcoming roles. Brothers has her excited about the future and her viability as an actress. The only way is forward for the Sri Lankan beauty.
