Salman Khan Distances Himself From Soorai Pancholi's ;Hero' Film Debut, Raises Questions Why

Salman Khan's professional life couldn't be better. It's his personal life that's kind of a mess. So, it comes as little wonder that he has washed his hands of Athiya Shetty and Sooraj Pancholi's film debut Hero. Khan wasn't present at the first launch of the two's debut venture, and it made headlines. Khan could be excused because he was embroiled in his 2002 hit-and-run trial. However, it looks as if Khan just might wash his hands completely of the film. Why, everyone wondered, when he was so supportive of Aditya Pancholi's son entering Bollywood?

According to BollywoodLife.com, CBI raided Sooraj's residence May 13th and found some documents that indicate Sooraji's role in the hit and runcase. Salman Khan's team of lawyers have advised him not to talk to Sooraji. A source informed BollywoodLife.com that, "The film's release was also pushed because Salman could not be seen promoting Sooraj or his film."

In fact recently, Amar Butala, COO of the Being Human actor's production venture was quoted as saying, "Yes, we have officially shifted the release date, but it has been done only because we got a better release window."

While Salman was busy with another film, Sooraj's attentions have been on another film, gearing up for the mega release of Eid. However, sources close to Sooraj and Salman feel that Hero was being put on the backburner because of the 2002 hit and run case. Whether it will be revisited at a later date remains to be seen as of this point. Salman's legal troubles are not behind him fully. Another hearing is scheduled for next month and a lot will be determined then and there.

Salman Khan is an institution in India. A lot of people have a lot of money wrapped up in the troubled actor. They probably are more worried about him going to jail than Khan himself.
