Ben Roethlisberger Goes Into Hall of Fame After Best Statistical Year

The Pittsburg Steelers have one of the most complete quarterbacks of the league in Ben Roethlisberger. Roethlisberger led this past year's Steeler offense to his best statistical year ever. The Super Bowl-winning quarterback was also a great college player as well at Miami University. These actions, among others, are responsible for whay Roethlisberger was recently inducted into his conferences Hall of Fame.

Roethlisberger is one of the greatest players to ever come from the Mid Atlantic Conference, and after years of tearing it up in the NFL, his former collegiate game is finally getting some deserved recognition. Roethlisberger let his heart out to Steelers about his love for being from a smaller conference and its influence on him:

"We may not have the most NFL players from the MAC, but some of the best ones that have played the game have come from the MAC and I am proud of that. I am proud to say I am from the MAC, from Miami. We may be a small school, a small conference, but guys can make it and win Super Bowls, win championships. It's such an awesome honor. I couldn't have done it without my coaches and teammates and I owe them a lot."

After years of excelling in college and the pros, it doesn't seem like Roethlisberger is anywhere close to being done slinging the ball. Fansided Still Curtain has the numbers to make the case he may now just be in his prime:

"Ben tied Drew Brees for most passing yards in 2014. He threw for his best TD to INT ratio in his career. His completion percentage (67.1%) was the highest in his career. He had his second highest QB Rating, bested only by his performance back in 2007."

What do you think of Roethlisberger making it into the MAC Hall of Fame? Do you think Big Ben and the Steelers can continue to build on last year's offense? Tell us your thoughts below.
