During the making of Tanu Weds Manu, Kangana Ranaut and Swara Bhsakar were the best of friends. Their on-screen chemistry bore that out. However, like the weather, friends change in an instant. Now the two appear to be in a feud, with many questioning if the two have split.
Tanu Weds Manu Returns has been a hit at the box office, but the onetime friends have had a falling out. Apparently, Swara requested the makers of the sequel to wrap up her scenes in short order, because she had previous commitments. The sudden change irked Kangana, because she had to rearrange her schedule to accommodate her former friend.
A source close to the film says, "During the Delhi leg of our shoot, Swara requested the director to wrap up her part early as she had other commitments to honour. At that time, Kangana's schedule was on and even though she was not in a position to make changes to her busy schedule she had to do it for Swara. Needless to say, she wasn't too happy about it."
Reportedly, Kangana and Swara have been giving each other the cold shoulder ever since (and no, Ranbir Kapoor had nothing to do with this). Kangana and Swara didn't even interact with each other during the premiere of the sequel, which Ranbir Kapoor again reportedly was not a part of.
Another source says the production team eventually worked out a compromise and managed to relieve Swara early. "But since then, the two actresses have not interacted much with each other. While they have been cordial to each other at public events, they barely spoke at the film's screening," the source adds.
As for poor Ranbir Kapoor? Theater owners are sending him cleaning bills for the mess that Bombay Velvet made.
