Andrew McCutchen Paycheck on Internet: Pirate Shrugs Off Leak, "I Got Paid"

Andrew McCutchen is the star player for the Pittsburg Pirates, and he gets paid like one too. The Pirates' outfielder had a slow start to his season but was turning it around at the plate before a recent distraction showed up. His salary has been public knowledge, but just recently the paystub of his actual paycheck made its way to the internet and gave insight into how that monster check breaks down. McCutchen was not fazed by the attention that the uploaded photo generated, instead he shrugged it off, and when questioned about the amount of the check, he just replied "I got paid."

The Pirates were in Chicago to play the Cubs when McCutchen was set to receive his bi-monthly paycheck. The paystub for that check contained all of his personal information still on it when it was first posted on Reddit. The paystub was said to be found during a Wrigley Field tour, but McCutchen's publicist Rob Fuller told The Pittsburg Post-Gazette he was skeptical that's how it happened:

"(It) is still up for interpretation as to what happened. I'm not sure we're so convinced a fan tour is where that was found."

He also spoke about the personal info that was leaked with the picture:

"There's a level of concern that has to come into play when personal information that isn't normally something you'd make public gets posted all over the world wide web of the Internet."

As much as it could be a distraction and upsetting to McCutchen he has played it off cool. The Sporting News has a tweet from Rob Biertempfel that lets the world know that this slip in privacy isn't going to faze him:

#Pirates @TheCUTCH22 said he's not angry, shrugged off his paystub being posted on Internet: "Hey, I got paid."

Will the distraction hinder McCutchen's performance? What new security measures will be taken inside baseball clubhouses? Tell us your thoughts below.
