HBO ‘Game of Thrones’ New Episode Spoilers After Sansa Stark Rape: Fans Call for Boycott [UPDATE]

Tonight, HBO’s Game of Thrones is all new following last week’s controversial episode. The hit series upset a large following of fans, when Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) raped Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner). Now many fans are calling for a boycott of the show. However, Sophie Turner has come out in support of the scene, claiming that she “loved it.”

The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode of Game of Thrones, titled “The Gift,” reads:

“Sansa reaches out to Theon; Jon senses conflict is near; Brienne patiently waits for a sign; Stannis' stubborn streak prevails; Jaime tries to reconnect with family.”

Many fans are upset with last week’s rape of Sansa Stark at the hands of Ramsay Bolton, leading some to boycott the series.

Sansa Stark herself Sophie Turner has admited that she loved the controvisial scene, telling Entertainment Weekly,:

“When I read that scene, I kinda loved it. I love the way Ramsay had Theon watching. It was all so messed up. It’s also so daunting for me to do it. I’ve been making [producer Bryan Cogman] feel so bad for writing that scene: ‘I can’t believe you’re doing this to me!’ But I secretly loved it.”
