Chris Hemsworth might be one of the biggest actors in Hollywood today, but that doesn’t mean that he forgot where he came from. The Avengers Thor actor got his start on the Australian Soap Opera, Home and Away. Recently, Hemsworth made a special cameo appearance on the series, as a background extra.
While making a trip back to Australia , Chris Hemsworth stopped by the set of his old Soap Opera, Home and Away.
Hemsworth played Kim Hyde on the series from 2004 to 2007.
Chris Hemsworth credits his time in Australia, and his work on Home and Away as the reason why he became a success in America, telling Austriana Today (via Daily Mail):
“I thank my upbringing here in Australia and working on Home and Away and the people I met there and those lessons I learnt. I really took all that work ethic and that experience over there (America) and I think that's what pays off.”
Six months ago, Home and Away star Jessica Grace Smith Instagramed a picture of herself with Chris Hemsworth, along with the message “"Just another tough day at work...".
