Jeff Gordon Wins Cover of 'NASCAR '15' Video Game, Competes Against All-Stars

Jeff Gordon is in his final year of competitive racing, but you wouldn't know it with how busy and popular he still is. With winning 4 races last year, he was one of the invitees to the NASCAR All-Star race in Charlotte, NC. In addition to going against the best drivers in the world, he was also given the honor of being on the cover of the next installment of the NASCAR video game series in NASCAR '15.

The All-Star event being held in Charlotte is a little different from years past. There are only 20 drivers starting the race, instead of the normal 40 plus. Even with that small amount of drivers, it is still very much filled with all stars. SB Nation gives a look into who will be running with Gordon for the race:

"So you'll find frequent winners like Jimmie Johnson, Brad Keselowski and 2015 Sprint Cup champ Kevin Harvick, as well as the always popular Dale Earnhardt Jr -- who won five races of his own since the start of 2014 -- or Jeff Gordon, winner of four. Any driver who won a race in the 2014 or 2015 seasons automatically qualified. In addition, one former Sprint Cup champion (Tony Stewart) and two former All-Star Race drivers (Jamie McMurray, Ryan Newman) earned berths. The final spot went to Danica Patrick, who won the fan vote for the first time since 2013."

Along with still being a strong driver in his final year, Gordon still manages to be a fan favorite -- Enough of a favorite to warrant being on the cover of NASCAR '15. As Fox Sports puts it, this makes perfect sense to bookend his career:

"In 1994, Jeff Gordon became the first driver to grace the cover of an official NASCAR video game, and in his final full Sprint Cup season, the Hendrick Motorsports driver will be back on the cover of a NASCAR game."

How do you think Jeff Gordon is going do to in his final season? Do you think he was the right choice for the cover of NASCAR '15? Tell us your thoughts below.
