Nascar's Jeff Gordon Retiring? 2015 Last Full-Time Season, 3M Partnership Promises Stylish Exit for #24

Jeff Gordon is one of the most successful drivers in NASCAR. Unfortunately for his fans, though, he recently announced that 2015 would be his final full-time season. Some have speculated that this doesn't mean full retirement, but, either way, he is going into 2015 with style. According to sources, his new partner, 3M, hooked Jeff up with a sweet paint job.

Gordon started his racing career in the Busch Series with Hugh Connerty Racing. In 1993, after winning several races, he began racing full-time for Hendrick Motorsports.

Uniquely, he stuck with Hendrick through his entire career, and, as most of you know, his time there was impressive.

For example, in 2009, Gordon became the first NASCAR driver to reach $100 million USD in career winnings.

In the end, all things must come to an end, and according to Fox Sports, Gordon's time with Hendrick is finally slowing down:

"Four-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Jeff Gordon announced Thursday that 2015 will be his final full-time season behind the wheel of the iconic No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet.

Gordon ranks third in all-time Sprint Cup points race victories, with 92 and third in poles with 77. He trails only Richard Petty (200) and David Pearson (105) in race victories..."

He may be on his way out the door, but that doesn't mean he is going to lie down and die.

In fact, according to NBC Sports, 2015 is going to be a stylish year for Jeff:

"This season, 3M is joining Jeff Gordon and Hendrick Motorsports as a part of a three-year deal that will have the company be a primary sponsor of Gordon's No. 24 Chevrolet for 11 races. As part of their new partnership, 3M has been releasing a series of videos this week that have Gordon reacting to several bizarre ideas for its 2015 paint scheme. [One] clip has been uploaded with Gordon finally seeing the real scheme - a slick, silver/red/white number - and expressing some relief after what he saw earlier."
