Tonight, NBC’s hit firehouse drama, Chicago Fire is all new with the Season 3 finale episode. This comes just two weeks after the show’s most recent crossover with Law & Order: SVU and Chicago PD. The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new, Season 3, finale episode of Chicago Fire, titled “Spartacus,” reads:
“In the Season 3 finale, Casey digs deeper into Nesbitt's dealings; Boden tries to unite the divided squad; Severide questions his own judgment; a warehouse blaze threatens members of Firehouse 51; and Dawson receives life-changing news.”

NBC has officially ordered a second Chicago Fire spin-off, titled Chicago Med. The press release for the new show, describes the series, reporting (via Entertainment Weekly):
“Executive producer Dick Wolf delivers the newest installment of the compelling ‘Chicago’ franchise, an emotional thrill ride through the day-to-day chaos of the city’s most explosive hospital and the courageous team of doctors who hold it together. They will tackle unique new cases inspired by topical events, forging fiery relationships in the pulse-pounding pandemonium of the emergency room, and through it all, familiar faces from the Chicago police and fire departments will intertwine as this third team of Chicago heroes hits the ground running. Chicago Fire creators Derek Haas and Michael Brandt will write and executive-produce with Matt Olmstead and Dick Wolf. Cast: Yaya DaCosta, S. Epatha Merkerson, Oliver Platt, Laurie Holden.”
