Bridgit Mendler & Chris D'Elia ‘Undateable’ Season 2 Finale: Renewed for Live Episodes on New Night

Good new for fans of Bridgit Mendler & Chris D’Elia. NBC has renewed Undateable for a third season consisting of nothing but live episodes, following the success of this past week’s special episode featuring Ed Sheeran and Victoria Justice. The bad is, NBC has moved it to the death spot on Friday night, where shows go to die. However, there are still two more pre taped episodes left to watch, airing together tonight as the show’s hourlong Season 2 finale.

The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episodes of Undateable, titled, “An Angry Judge Walks Into a Bar; Cop Number Four Walks Into a Bar,” reads:

“Justin makes a bad first impression on his new girlfriend's father, and Danny only makes things worse when he tries to help. Later, Candace enters a contest to win a new house. The guys support her, yet Danny also enters the contest when Candace's former boyfriend arrives.”

The show will move to the Friday Night Death Spot, next year, for a 13 episode live season. Apparently, NBC has decided to kill all-comedy for now, canceling all primetime comedies except for Undateable.

Mark Paul Gosselaar (Saved By the Bell) and Tone Bell’s (Bad Judge) new comedy People are Talking will join Undateable next fall, with Paul Rudd’s You Me and The of The World, Ben Feldman’s Superstore, Miranda Cosgrove’s Crowded, Eva Longoria’s Hot & Bothered, and Craig T Nelson’s Coach reboot expected to come later.

What do you think of Undateable’s move to Friday night? How about it’s change to a live format? What about the new show’s scheduled? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section at the bottom of the page.

Be sure to check out the Season 2 finale of Undateable, tonight at 9:00 p.m. eastern on NBC.
