For weeks now the tabloids have been suggesting that Good Charlotte husband, Joel Madden, spends all his time either fighting with his wife, Nicole Richie, or running from his problem until the Candidly Nicole star has finally had enough. According to the latest gossip news updates, Paris Hilton's former bestie is ready to divorce the Australian Voice coach out of sheer desperation. One has to wonder why then the couple would buy a gigantic Beverly Hills home for a reported $6.7 million, is their marriage really is so close to falling apart.
Seemingly having trouble getting fans to care about what they claim is a suggestively anorexic frame, it seems that the tabloids are now trying to sell the story that Nicole Richie's marriage is on the brink of self-destruction.
One source claiming to be close to Nicole told In Touch that despite her reservations, Lionel's high-fashion daughter didn't know what else to do but start the divorce process from Joel Madden:
"The last thing she wants is a public split with the children involved, but she's desperately unhappy.
"Nicole recently met with one of LA's most prominent divorce attorneys and is weighing her options."
According to the informant, most of their friends have already seen the writing on the wall and have consigned themselves to the fact that it may be the best option for Nicole at this point:
"It's very obvious to friends that a divorce announcement will probably be happening soon.
"It's better for everyone right now if they just stay apart because it's really not working anymore."
That might not all sound so silly if the little family hadn't just purchased a palatial mansion in Beverly Crest for a prince's ransom.
The LA Times report that Richie and her hubby dropped a cool $6.7 million on their sprawling Hollywood dream home which once belonged to none other that Jack Nicholson:
"Set on a half-acre behind ivy-covered walls and tall hedges, the contemporary home was built in 1957 and contains four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and 5,515 square feet of living space, according to tax records.
"The property, which was once owned by actor Jack Nicholson, sold in 1999 for $1.75 million. Nicholson sold the house in 1991 for $1.925 million."
Well...if whatever good vibes are left over from Jack's days in the house can't get their marriage back on track, than chances are nothing will.
