While the less popular twin of post-punk rock band Good Charlotte may not seem like the most logical choice to manage a multimillion dollar a year film career, word has it that newlywed Annie actress, Cameron Diaz, has virtually handed that movie making reigns over to her new husband, Benji Madden. According to the latest gossip updates, Benji is not only trying to convince his new bride to start making more independent and better written films than the new Bad Teacher 2 sequel, he's trying to talk her into moving down with his brother and sister-in-law to Australia. Cameron might want to rethink sharing property with her brother-in-law, however, Joel and his wife Nicole Richie. It's rumored that the couple often fight like cats and dogs over how to raise their two kids.
Cameron Diaz has made some real Hollywood megahits in her day, but the Sex Tape star has also made her fair share of real stinkers as well.
A source close to the newly married Hollywood A-listers revealed in the April 20, issue of Star Magazine that Benji was doing his best to put a stop to that.
According to the informant, the rocker wants Diaz to do more independent features that might not pay as well but won't make a fool of her either; although his motives may be less than altruistic:
"He knows he's out of his league when it comes to Cameron, and he's deeply paranoid about a better-looking costar stealing her away.
"Cameron's so crazy about him -- and adores what she calls his 'sweet jealousies' -- that she's seriously thinking about giving up her role in Bad Teachers 2.
"She's lapping up this talk of her being 'more like Meryl Streep', even though it's going to cost her some serious cash,"
And it doesn't stop at Cameron's career, a friend of the whole family told the National Enquirer that Benji -- along with a more than a little bit of help form her bestie Nicole Richie and husband Joel Madden -- has convinced Diaz to leave her home in Hollywood entirely for a new life in Australia, where Joel is a coach on The Voice:
"Cameron's desperate for a change of scene and wants to get away from L.A. to start a family with Benji.
"But it wasn't until Cameron joined the family that they decided to do something about it."
Before Cameron goes ahead with that plan to move in with the Madden-Richies she might want to talk to OK! Magazine's spy that claimed life inside their house isn't always so enviable:
"Their patenting-style conflict has come to a head...They're fighting more than ever.
"She only allows them to eat vegetables grown in her garden, [and] if Joel feeds them and it's not organic, she becomes furious."
On second thought, Nicole Richie sounds like an excellent mother, and it's probably not like they are going to be getting divorced over what they're having for dinner.
