‘The View’ News: Raven Simone Joins Cast after Rosie O’Donnell Divorce Turns Ugly?

It seems like The View producers may have finally found their replacement for Rosie O'Donnell now that the League of Their Own actress is more focused on salvaging her net worth from another costly divorce than she is her television career. According to the latest gossip news updates, Cosby Show alum and Disney Channel veteran, 29-year-ol Raven Simone has been tapped to join Barbara Walter's all-female panel. Word has it that now that Rosie' O's extra-marital cheating is out in the open, she will hardly notice if The View replaces her or not.

Although she may not seem like anyone's first choice, Raven Simone has just the kind of stick-by-your-guns attitude that The View producers love.

After a successful visits to the show as a co-host, a ABC rep reportedly told Page Six that Simone was being strongly considered to take over the fourth chair on the panel on a more permanent basis (via E! News):

"She was interesting and provocative.

"Raven would be great as a regular host."

Unfortunately for Raven, the network is now insisting that they -- regardless of Simone's impeccable hosting capabilities -- are still nowhere near announcing a new View cohost at this time:

"She's been terrific as a guest co-host.

"No decision imminent -- all proceeding as planned as we've said for months."

Whether or not she's replaced next week or next year, Rosie O'Donnell will have little time to watch The View now that all her sordid love letters have supposedly been leaked in relation to her impeding divorce trial.

A source close to the former couple told The National Enquirer that having Rosie's dirty laundry aired in public might help her wife's case, but in the end Michelle Rounds would be hurt by the unethical disclosure as well:

"Unfortunately when two people get divorced, there's always ugliness involved.

"There's no doubt this disclosure of emails and letters could be damaging to Rosie if her split with Michelle ends up in divorce court.

"It's certainly stuff that Rosie wants to keep dead and buried!"

With those kind of skeletons supposedly haunting her closet, Rosie O'Donnell is more suited as a View Hot Topic than a cohost, anyways.
