Bates Motel is all new tonight, with the beautifully psychotic Freddie Highmore as the young Norman Bates. Recently, Freddie Highmore had his eye on another iconic role, Peter Parker, A.K.A. Spider-Man. When it was revealed that Disney’s Marvel Studios was going to be working with Sony in order bring Spider-Man into the MCU, fans flooded the internet on Highmore’s behalf. However, it was recently revealed that Marvel was looking to cast a teenager in the role, leaving many to wonder if the 23-year-old actor is too old for the part. However, there is a long shot that Marvel may have already found their Spider-Man if the “leaked” Avengers 2: Age of Ultron end credits scene is real.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode of Bates Motel, titled “The Last Supper,” reads:
“Norma has one big mess to take care of upon her arrival home; Norman agrees to get help; and Dylan receives shocking news about Emma's health.”
Be sure to check out the all new episode of Bates Motel, tonight at 9:00 p.m. eastern on A&E:
Marvel’s Kevin Feige, recently revealed that they are looking for a teenage Peter Parker, stating (via Collider):
“In terms of the age of an actor we’ll eventually to cast, I don’t know. In terms of the age of what we believe Peter Parker is, I’d say 15-16 is right...We want to play with Spider-Man in the high school years because frankly there’ve been five Spider-Man films and the amazing thing about it is, even though there’ve been five Spider-Man films, there are so many things from the comics that haven’t been done yet.”
If Marvel is really looking for a younger Peter Parker, than that may leave Freddie Highmore out of the running:
However, here is the very off chance that Marvel has already cast their Spider-Man, but probably not. Take a look at the supposed leaked footage
