Well, Shia LaBeouf is back to being all Shia LaBeoufy. The former child star turned blockbuster actor recently produced Alma Har’el’s new documentary Love True, which premiered at The Tribeca Film Festival. While making the press rounds for the new film, LaBeouf opened up about leaving rehab. LaBeouf went on to rail against Transformers, Bumblebee and Michael Bay. Looks like he might be returning for Transformers 5.
Shia LaBeouf may have just shot down any Transformers return rumors, when he railed against the franchise, as Entertainment Weekly reports:
“Bumblebee never sounds real. It’s just a f***ing name/ When you work with certain directors who give over and do something that’s presentational and you both believe it, then there is no f***ing around, and you really are in this alternate universe.”
LaBeouf went on seemingly speak out against celebrity life altogether, adding:
“The requirements to being a star/celebrity are namely, you must become an enslaved body. Just flesh--a commodity, and renounce all autonomous qualities in order to identify with the general law of obedience to the course of things. The star is a byproduct of the machine age, a relic of modernist ideals.”
