It's been a little over six months since ER icon George Clooney got married to international human rights lawyer, Amal Alumuddin, in Venice, Italy, and already the relationship is said to be in trouble. According to the latest gossip news updates, that wedding was one of the last happy days Batman and his new bride have spent happily together. Word has it that the Hollywood legend is livid that his much younger wife is refusing to have his baby and start a family, while Amal is said to be unbearably frustrated with Clooney's out right dismissing her idea that they relocate permanently to New York City.
Despite the best intentions going into things last September, word has it that George and Amal Clooney's marriage is already on the rocks thanks to their both being stubbornly set in their ways.
A source claiming to be close to Clooney insists in the April 13, issue of In Touch that Amal has made it more than clear in recent months that she isn't going to be playing second fiddle to George's personal or career ambitions:
"Amal not only hates Hollywood and George's show business friends, but she's also unwilling to commit to starting a family.
"Simply put, the marriage is more fractured than ever...I wouldn't be surprised if he drew up divorce papers any day now."
According to the spy, Alamuddin may just be putting her foot down to finally get George to compromise a little bit on his strict stance on not wanting to settle down in New York:
"They've had several arguments about their living situation.
"She feels home in NYC. She got her master's degree at NYU and has been enjoying her time there.
"He's made it very clear that he sees LA as his home...[But] Amal won't have it.
"She hates LA and refuses to live there permanently."
Of course, they could always just call it a draw and move in to Clooney's palatial villa on Lake Como, which is being taken very good care of by the town's mayor Roberto Pozzi.
While it might not be as centrally located to either one of their bases of business, according to the Telegraph, they'll never have to worry about the paparazzi:
"The mayor of Laglio has declared a fine of up to €500 ($546) for anyone who approaches George Clooney's luxury lakeside villa, on the shores of Lake Como in Italy."
Well...they will certainly have a hard time finding their own private lake in middle of NYC, if the Clooneys do ever decide to move.
