It was recently announced that an “male” Ghostbusters 3 film was being made to go along aside Paul Feig’s upcoming all-female cast franchise reboot. Channing Tatum is reportedly set to star and produce the new film, with the Russo Brothers, (Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier) expected to direct and with a script to be penned by Drew Pearce (Iron Man 3). Now new reports are coming out that Guardians of The Galaxy and Parks and Rec star Chris Pratt might be joining Channing Tatum in new movie in what according to alleged leaked Sony emails suggest might be a “Batman Begins” style boost to the franchise, that could lead to an Avengers style crossover with Feig's film.
According to The Daily Beast, emails believed to from Channing Tatum to, then co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment, Amy Pascal, proposing the all new reboot:
“Let us show the world The DarkSide and let us fight it with all the glory and epicness of a HUGE BATMAN BEGINS MOVIE. I know we can make this a huge franchise. Fun adventure craziness. COME OONNNN!!!”
Another email supposedly suggest Chris Pratt as Channing Tatum’s co-star for the new film.
