Disgraced Yankee Alex Rodriguez Has Disappointing Return: Drama Getting Old Says Jerry Seinfeld

Alex Rodriguez has evolved into just another disgraced athlete who has been revealed to be a user of performance enhancing drugs. When it was first revealed that the heavy hitter was juicing, everyone felt betrayed. Now, as was reiterated by the famous Jerry Seinfeld, the whole A-Rod story just isn't "very interesting" anymore. Furthermore, Alex recently made his return to the field, and so far, his performance hasn't been anything special.

Before his time as a professional, A-Rod was a star player at Westminster Christian School in Florida. During his time there, he was named Gatorade's national baseball student athlete of the year.

He fully intended to go play for the University of Miami after graduation. Instead, the Mariners selected him during the first round of the 1993 Amateur Draft.

He made his claim to fame, as you probably know, as a home run hitting standout for the New York Yankees. Also widely known is his recent suspension and admittance of the use of steroids.

At this point, the story has been told time and time again, and according to TMZ Sports, fellow entertainers have lost interest in the entire scandal:

"The Alex Rodriguez storyline has grown tiresome...so says MLB superfan Jerry Seinfeld who says plain and simple, 'It's not very interesting.' Seinfeld was in West Hollywood when [asked] if he thinks A-Rod's return to the Yanks will be a good thing or a bad thing for the ball club...Jerry...couldn't care less....But he DID care about his beloved NY Mets...and told us if the team is gonna be competitive this year, it's all gonna come down to one guy."

Whether its interesting or not, Alex has strapped up his cleats again, and it might finally be time for fans to forgive the one-time great. However, according to the NY Post, the third baseman is going to have to step up his game if he wants that to happen:

"It's a new beginning for Rodriguez, coming back from a year-long drug suspension...Don't expect any baseball miracles from him. That is the message Rodriguez is delivering with his play and his words...Baby steps from the man with 654 home runs...He has two soft hits in six at-bats this spring. If you keep the expectations low, that keeps the pressure at bay...No bombs yet...Rodriguez blooped a double down the right-field line..."
