Amanda Bynes' mental health appears to be improving again, despite a slight setback. Amanda recently avoided charges for her reported DUI, however, her parents were extended conservatorship of their daughter.
Things appear to keep getting better for Amanda Bynes, who was placed on psychiatric hold last year, after a string of troubling incidents.
The last unfortunate event leading up to her mandatory hold involved Bynes starting a fire in a stranger's driveway. After setting the fire, Amanda was spotted entering a convenience store with her gasoline-soaked dog.
After her release, Amanda did well for a time, but was soon arrested.
The actress recently appeared in a Ventura County courtroom, where Bynes dodged charges stemming from the DUI arrest. Bynes, however, did not escape totally free.
New York Daily News tells readers that Amanda will still be under the conservatorship of her parents:
"Amanda Bynes will be waiting another four months for her next shot at freedom, but she's officially off the hook for her September DUI arrest, the Daily News has learned...A Ventura County judge...decided to extend her temporary conservatorship to a new hearing set for June 23."
That's not the only good news for Amanda either. It looks like the actress' life is really starting to improve.
According to People, Amanda is doing much better in 2015. One source tells the publication that Bynes even has her own apartment:
"Amanda is doing much better from where she was months ago...She has her own apartment and is much happier. She and her parents are getting along and Amanda is clear-headed, more focused and has more independence."
What do you think of the latest reports? Are you excited to see Amanda doing better? Are you relieved that her parents were extended conservatorship? Will Amanda ever return to acting?
