Netflix just released the all new series, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt from 30 Rock’s Tina Fey and Robert Carlock. The show’s Ellie Kemper (The Office), Tituss Burgess (Broadway’s The Little Mermaid) and 30 Rock vet Jane Krakowski. Recently, Krakowski opened up about the new series, comparing her 30 Rock character Jenna Maroney to Jacqueline Voorhees.
Tony and Olivier Award winner Jane Krakowski is an amazingly talented actress with an equally amazing resume. Jane is proabally best know as the eratic actress Jenna Maroney on 30 Rock. Now Jane has reunited to with the 30 Rock crew on the new NBC/Netflix series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Recently, Jane opened to Time about her new role as Jacqueline Voorhees, and how she stacks up to Jenna:
“I’ve always approached them very differently, and it was certainly conscious on Tina and Robert Carlock’s agenda to make them as different as possible. At first I was taken aback when people were saying that, because I find the characters so different at their core and in their heart, and I think also because I shot all 13 episodes and I know where this character grows. But in the first few episodes, I see why people would feel that way, especially in the beginning, before you learn more about her.
“But as I say, I’ve never approached them the same. There’s a vulnerability to Jacqueline that Jenna never had an ounce of on 30 Rock, so I find that they come from very different places.”
You can stream all 13 episodes of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt on Netflix and we highly recommend that you do.
